The equipment supplied to kyiv by its American and European allies is often damaged by time. The repairs are long and delay Ukraine on the front.
In a secret rear base of the Ukrainian army, in the west of the country, some of the military equipment is received. The latest American delivery consists of a dozen MaxxPro, essential armored personnel carriers. The units on the front lines are impatiently awaiting them. These vehicles, parked for a while at an American base in Europe, are however not immediately operational. Obsolete, the equipment must be repaired for several weeks, despite the emergency on the front.
France, which is currently modernizing its equipment, sent its old vehicles to Ukraine. “We weld, we patch up as best we can, we tinker with old parts“, deplores the workshop manager, Oleh. Despite repeated requests to their allies, spare parts are not arriving. France, however, is working to train Ukrainian mechanics.
