The prefect of Guadeloupe indicates Wednesday evening February 23 that the implementation of the vaccination pass is “repelled” to “March 28 at least”. The decision will be set in mid-March.

Part of the health rules is also lightened this Friday in Guadeloupe due to “the gradual decrease in the spread of the epidemic”. The curfew is thus postponed from this Friday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The gauge of 6 people per table maximum in restaurants is lifted, as is the 8 square meters per person in shops.

The prefecture had planned at the beginning of February to set up the vaccination pass in two stages, from March 7 in establishments receiving the cultural public, then from March 21 in establishments receiving the public, in particular at sporting events, at the hotels and restaurants.

The vaccination rate remains lower in Guadeloupe than at the national level, with 45.5% of those over 12 years old who received a first dose of vaccine, and 21.9% who received their booster dose.
