The individual suspected of having stabbed to death a 23-year-old man last week in Annemasse (Haute-Savoie) was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, reported Tuesday June 4 France Bleu Pays de Savoie.

The main suspect, arrested in Switzerland on the day of the homicide, was handed over Tuesday morning to the French authorities who had issued a European arrest warrant and made an extradition request. He was presented to an investigating judge in the afternoon and indicted for “murder”. The investigation, opened for “homicide” by the Thonon public prosecutor’s office, is moving towards a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking. From a judicial source at France Bleu, the alleged perpetrator is “already implicated in another procedure in Switzerland” And “already has a criminal record in France”.

Last Tuesday, May 28, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in the street. Many witnesses witnessed the scene. The victim had received several stab wounds, including one to the carotid artery. She died in Geneva hospital as a result of her injuries. The attacker fled in a vehicle with another person inside. Later the same day, a man, suspected of being the passenger of the vehicle, presented himself at the police station in Plainpalais, a district of Geneva in Switzerland. The Swiss authorities then arrested the man suspected of being the perpetrator.
