The journalist Damien Mascret, present on the set of 19/20, Wednesday September 21, details the first signs of Alzheimer’s disease which should alert us, and explains the importance of being diagnosed as soon as possible.

What are the first signs of Alzheimer’s disease that should alert us? “First, it’s memory problems. Attention, it is not simply a question of no longer finding your keys, of no longer finding your glasses (…) In Alzheimer’s disease, we will forget current events, even after having looked at the newspaper. We’re going to forget that we had a birthday party two days ago. We may get lost in his usual neighborhood. These are all worrying signs.”explains doctor and journalist Damien Mascretpresent on the set of 19/20, Wednesday September 21.

Damian Mascret then goes back to the importance of getting diagnosed as soon as possible: “There is very precise monitoring to know when to stop, for example, driving (…). And above all, we will try to stimulate the neurons that are not yet affected by Alzheimer’s disease, and to do this, we have physical activity, it oxygenates the brain well, and above all, relationships social”, adds the journalist.
