In Bakhmout (Ukraine), where the war is raging, the emergency services are trying to organize themselves in the chaos to bring the necessary aid to the wounded soldiers on the front.

Around Bakhmout (Ukraine), a young soldier is seriously injured. He is taken care of in a disused building located very close to the front line, whose location must remain secret. The Russians regularly target these emergency medical centers. You have to stabilize Ie soldier, before being transferred to a real hospital, where he will be operated on.

Up to 100 injured in one day

The teams sometimes receive 50 to 100 wounded in 24 hours, depending on the offensives in progress. “The Russians are trying to break through our lines at Bakhmout. They try to take the last access road to the city, but we defend ourselves“, says a wounded soldier. These anesthesiologists or surgeons all worked in civilian hospitals before the Russian invasion. They are now specialists in the care of war wounded.
