A new brand in the red. The Habitat company, specializing in home furnishings and equipment, was placed in receivership on Wednesday December 6 by the Bobigny commercial court (Seine-Saint-Denis), management announced to AFP .
Habitat, a chain of 25 stores which says it employs 450 employees, announced Thursday that it was requesting its placement in receivership due to “deep financial difficulties”specifying “prepare a recovery plan through continuation so as to achieve sustainable profitability”.
The company aims to be reassuring
On November 30, the brand promised that its “primary objective” was “to ensure the payment of all suppliers and the delivery of orders to customers in a calm environment adapted to the situation”. She also announced that“a recent strategic review, triggered by internal signals, resulted in measures to redress the situation, including the departure of Habitat’s CEO”Franck Deshayes.
