The comedy of the week is called “My very dear children”. A retired couple, desperate to no longer see their children, resort to big lies to get them home.

The room was packed Monday, December 13 in Paris to welcome the teams of actors from “My very dear children”. In this film, Chantal and Didier, retired, no longer see their children, who have gone to work in the capital. When they announce not to come home for Christmas, it is too much for the parents, played by Josiane Balasko and Didier Bourdon.

They decide to bait them by making them believe that they have won the jackpot, even if it means borrowing the clichés of the nouveau riche. “This is the image that the couple has of the rich”, describes the director, Alexandre Leclère. Good-natured humor hits the mark. “It changes our ideas compared to the news of the moment”, indicates a spectator. Since the release of “Tuche” and “Bodin’s” a few weeks ago, French comedies are giving pride of place to French cinema at the end of the year 2021.
