The gendarmes are looking for a 41-year-old man who disappeared in the Drôme river in Crest

The Drôme gendarmes have been looking since Monday evening for a 41-year-old man who disappeared in the Drôme river in Crest. It was walkers who gave the alert this Monday around 6:30 p.m. after seeing some neat personal belongings on the banks of the river. Business that they had already seen in the same place the day before, that is to say on Sunday. Since then, the gendarmes have started research, with the help in particular of a track dog and foot patrollers. Divers from the Valence river brigade are also probing the area on Tuesday between the Ramières station and the SNCF line. A helicopter also flew over the area on Tuesday morning. The missing man, psychologically fragile, lives in Valence but he often goes to his mother’s house in Crest. The latter alerted the gendarmes on Monday evening to tell them that she had found a letter in which her son told her that he wanted to end his life. The thesis of suicide is for the moment favored by the investigators of the gendarmerie company of Crest.
