For several months, the Kharkiv region, in northeastern Ukraine, has been constantly bombarded by the Russian army. During the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, January 17, missiles hit a clinic and several residential buildings in the city, injuring at least fifteen people. For local authorities, the civilian population is deliberately targeted. “There is no logic in these strikes, it is a war crime“, says Dmytro Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv prosecutor’s office.
Ukraine requests additional resources
Russian assaults are increasing in intensity. In retaliation, Ukraine is increasing its drone attacks on Russian territory. Russia also continues drone attacks on Ukraine, particularly in Odessa, a strategic port. kyiv says it has shot down 19 of the 20 drones launched overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday and continues to ask its allies for additional resources to drive Russia out of its skies.
