In the Landes, a primary school teacher is unanimous with an original method. In his class, students can read while lying on the floor or learn sitting on a deckchair.

On this first day of the new school year, Thursday September 1, Fabrice Réchède has a word for each student. In the small village of Vignau (Landes) of 490 inhabitants, this young teacher, in charge of CM1 and CM2 at the Jacques-Prévert school, has made himself indispensable. Its method is that of the flexible class. And that starts with taking off your shoes. It is in slippers that one enters his class. Here, there are only a few tables for 28 tables.

In the same day, students can read while lying on the ground or learn sitting on a deckchair. They are on the move all day, according to the activities proposed by their teacher, in half-groups. Throughout this school year, Fabrice Réchède will teach his students autonomy. He also shares his method on social networks, under the name of master Fafa. Nearly 30,000 people follow him, including other teachers and parents of students.
