The fire in a warehouse in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) is under control, the Paris firefighters told franceinfo on Saturday June 10. They specify that “the samples and the readings of smoke toxicities were found to be below the alert thresholds”. The fire started the day before, around 8 p.m., in a warehouse “in which there are textiles, scooters and batteries”, according to the prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis. According to franceinfo.fr, this building is operated by the company Paris Glamour, rue Benoît Frachon.
The prefecture had asked to avoid the sector of rue Bernard, near this warehouse and “As a precaution, please keep your windows closed, do not overload the phone lines.” The area was locked down but, according to the franceinfo.fr journalist on site, there was no immediate risk for residents or neighboring businesses.
Up to 200 firefighters, 55 engines and eight lances were mobilized to put out the fire.
