The feature film “AKA” becomes the most viewed French film on Netflix worldwide

A huge success. The action feature film A.K.A., starring Alban Lenoir and Eric Cantona, has become the most viewed French film on Netflix worldwide, the platform announced on Wednesday May 10. He has totaled 81.85 million hours of viewing in ten days since it went online on April 28, according to figures published by Netflix.

Directed by Morgan S. Dalibert, A.K.A. tells the story of an agent (Alban Lenoir) infiltrated into a mafia organization led by a godfather whose role is played by Eric Cantona. He is ahead far from the ring road (with Omar Sy), which was the most viewed French film on Netflix so far. Posted in May 2022, the latter accumulated 78.63 million hours of viewing during its first 28 days of broadcast (period used by Netflix to establish its rankings).

If we take English-language films into account, these are American feature films Red Notice (2021) and Don’t Look Up (2021) which topped the overall rankings, with 364 and 359 million viewing hours respectively in their first 28 days of broadcast.
