The Fashion+Design Festival takes off

It is this Thursday that the 22e Mode+Design Festival, place des Festivals, in Montreal. On the program, 17 fashion shows, numerous artistic and musical performances, and more than 40 brands and designers from here gathered in the pop-up store space. We will notably find Lachapelle Atelier, Little Yogi, Lambert, Bego, Dailystory, Alter Sole, La Pimbêche, Noble and BKind. Here are some events not to be missed

Reluxe fashion show in 2018 during the Mode+Design Festival

The Luxury Parade

This Thursday at 6 p.m., the Reluxe parade will take place for the benefit of the Le Chaînon Foundation, which helps women in difficulty. Deputy Premier Geneviève Guilbault, Mayor Valérie Plante, host Geneviève Borne and boxer Kim Clavel will parade at Place des Festivals.

Ambulatory parade of LaSalle college graduates in 2021: 80 models wearing student creations paraded from the college to Place Ville Marie, rue Sainte-Catherine.

The Eclectic Parade

Friday at 8 p.m. is the Eclectik fashion show for LaSalle college graduates, where 40 models and dancers will gather on stage to showcase the creations of up-and-coming designers, all in a musical atmosphere provided by DJ Frigid and DJ Plastic Patrick.

Divergent futures

This Thursday and Saturday at 6:15 p.m. will be presented the show Divergent futures, a street theater that brings together music, dance, hip-hop and fashion. A creation in collaboration with Indigenous Fashion Arts, which signs the fashion component of this project, where the clothes of indigenous designers will be honored.

Wigs on display at the Eaton Center

Impertinencean exhibition of wigs

The artist Stéphane Scotto di Cesare exhibits 28 very colorful wigs in the window of the Eaton Center, some of which have worn the drag queens of the show Canada’s Drag Race ; 28 wigs is 800 meters of exposed hair today.

The Mode+Design Festival will take place until August 28th.
