“This failure is not satisfactory”regretted Monday, February 27 on franceinfo Agnès Firmin-Le Bodo, Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Organization and Health Professions, while the two main unions of liberal doctors rejected the proposals for new consultation rates.

Health insurance has proposed to revalue all medical consultations by 1.50 euro. To obtain 30 euros, which the general practitioners ask for, they had to accept counterparties. “It is likely that there will be no agreement between Health Insurance and the unions”says the Minister.

“We don’t ask doctors too much. We already know that some are already working a lot.”

“We are simply asking to spread the load over a larger number of doctors” because according to the minister “87% of France is a medical desert”. The six representative unions of liberal doctors have until Tuesday evening to say whether or not they accept the new fee schedule proposed for five years, “instruct the doctors to come back around the table”finished Agnès Firmin-Le Bodo.
