Laurence Rossignol, Socialist Party senator for Oise, is the political guest on 18/20, Tuesday, September 24. She returns in particular to the priority displayed by the new Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, to “restore order”.
Upon taking office, the new Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, indicated that his priority was to “restore order”. “I can’t imagine an Interior Minister who would arrive and say: ‘I’m here to organise disorder.’ He’s doing a fairly classic exercise since Nicolas Sarkozy in the end.”reacts Laurence Rossignol, Socialist Party (PS) senator for Oise, Tuesday September 24 in the 18/20.
Laurence Rossignol continues by saying that she has “the impression” that “all these people” have “a reference in life: it’s Nicolas Sarkozy”. “They want to repeat 2007, that is to say Nicolas Sarkozy who, from the Ministry of the Interior, manages to siphon off part of the votes of the extreme right, to go to the second round and to be elected” President of the Republic, she believes.
The PS senator recalls, however, that Nicolas Sarkozy had also based his campaign on the slogan “Work more to earn more”, which “spoke to working French people”Comparing this approach to the current political situation, she says: “There, this government will talk about order on the one hand, but at the same time, is incapable of responding to the demand for purchasing power and the second demand that has been established since 2007, which is that of having public services that work.”
