An edition “records”. Nearly 127,000 spectators attended the Eurockéennes de Belfort which opened on Thursday and ends on Sunday, July 7, in the evening, the organization said. After the Covid-19 years, a 2022 edition cut short by two evenings following a violent storm, a 2023 year back to normal, the year 2024 is an excellent vintage. “We are at a high point in terms of record unique visitors and tickets purchased”assured Matthieu Pigasse, president of Eurockéennes.
Despite a “general context not very favorable”due to early legislative elections and capricious weather, this year has also been favorable to patronage and sponsorship. “It’s also a record year in that respect.”he assured, while the budget of the Eurockéennes exceeds 10 million euros, according to the organizers.
The festival had set up a citizen counter to validate proxies. “It’s not a militant act, it’s a help for citizens”said Jean-Paul Roland, director of the festival. Matthieu Pigasse highlighted the diversity of the festival “mixing old and very recent artists” ranging from Lenny Kravitz to Pierre Hugues José.
