The suspects in the attack on Brigitte Macron’s grand-nephew in Amiens (Somme) are aged 16 to 35, franceinfo learned on Tuesday 16 from a source familiar with the matter. Eight people were arrested shortly after the events on Monday evening. Among them is a 16-year-old girl. The other seven are men aged up to 35. Some of them are already known to the police.
Jean-Baptiste Trogneux was violently attacked after the interview with Emmanuel Macron on TF1. According to the father of the victim and nephew of Brigitte Macron, Jean-Alexandre Trogneux, “about forty demonstrators” protested against the policy of the Head of State in front of their shop, the Jean Trogneux chocolate factory. Then, he continues,a dozen who threw themselves on him when they recognized him. They beat him up, with a lot of blows to the face”.

Jean-Alexandre Trogneux, the nephew of the First Lady deplores to France Bleu Picardie, “an amalgam since the election of Emmanuel Macron, who wants everyone to believe that the Trogneux company belongs to him, that it is that of his wife Brigitte“. Elected officials from the presidential majority but also from La France insoumise, the Socialist Party and the National Rally have publicly condemned this attack. Brigitte Macron has also denounced “the cowardice, stupidity and violence” of the aggressors.
