Although the unemployment rate for people with disabilities has fallen by 6 points in three years, the task is still difficult, in particular because of employers who doubt when it comes to recruiting.
For 15 months, Mathilde has been able to highlight her qualities in this fast-food chain. Despite her disability, the young woman integrated very quickly. She should even sign a CDI in a few months. An opportunity for the whole team: “Mathilde is a bit of a darling. She is eager to learn, so everyone devotes time to her”. In Meurthe-et-Moselle, a sophrology course awaits five people with disabilities. The objective, regain self-confidence and have all the cards in hand to pass job interviews. “I find employers, but faced with my problem which is the chair, I encounter a lot of failures and that affects me. I came for that purpose, to get help”explains Claudine.
Because unfortunately, the job market for people with disabilities remains complicated. Even if the unemployment rate has fallen by six points in three years, efforts are still to be made. After a work accident a year and a half ago, Thomas, a former scrum half, became a video analyst at his rugby club: “In my room, when I had finished the physio, I did that. It made my head feel good”. Always motivated to get back on the pitch, Thomas is now preparing for the federal coaching certificate to train his former teammates from the federal team.
