The deputy mayor of Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) in charge of disability, Abdelmajid Bouhenna, was indicted on Saturday January 22 for “rape of minors” and placed under judicial control, France Bleu Paris learned from of the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office.

The chosen one is accused by two teenage girls of having raped them between the end of 2020 and 2021. One of them was under 15 at the time of the facts denounced. The prosecution also indicates that the elected official has functions in several associations in the city and knew the victims.

In a press release, the PS mayor of Saint-Denis, Mathieu Hanotin indicates that he does not “challenging the principle of the presumption of innocence” corn “decides to immediately withdraw all of his deputy delegations”, “given the extreme seriousness of the charges and the serenity necessary to conduct the affairs of the municipality”.
