There had been severe weather in Nantes last October and April. The decree of natural disaster is published. The two stormy episodes date back to October 2 and 3, as well as April 24, causing damage in the city. On April 24, firefighters identified 133 interventions, for flooding of houses or professional premises as well as fires in houses on which lightning had fallen. A wall had also collapsed on parked cars, without causing any injuries.
10 days to report
The victims have 10 days to send their declaration to their insurer. Thanks to this recognition, damage that is usually uninsured will be covered by insurance. The City of Nantes advises those concerned to send their declaration to their insurer by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt and attach the supporting documents with the copy of the Declaration of the state of natural disaster published in the Official Journal.
