A 12-year-old girl, victim of the road accident which occurred on Tuesday January 23, in Pamiers, in Ariège, on a roadblock organized by farmers who expressed their anger on several subjects, has died, announced the prosecutor of the Republic of Foix, in the evening. “This information has just been confirmed by the services of the Purpan hospital in Toulouse”, specifies Olivier Mouysset in his press release. His mother, a farmer in her thirties, also died in this accident, which occurred “at the height of national road 20 of Pamiers”, and his father was seriously injured. The young girl was born on September 25, 2011, writes the prosecution in its press release. During a press conference late Tuesday morning, the prefect of Ariège, Simon Bertoux, assured that the security system installed around the dam “was perfectly compliant”. He also stressed that the occupation of the road was taking place within the framework of a “declared demonstration”.

“An autopsy of the two deceased people will be carried out by the services of the Toulouse medico-legal institute”, specifies the prosecutor.
