A court decision is expected, Friday October 6 afternoon, in one of the cases impacting Nicolas Sarkozy.

What Nicolas Sarkozy is accused of is wanting to silence a witness. In this case, a Lebanese businessman, a mysterious Ziad Takieddine. In 2012, this man claimed that Nicolas Sarkozy had part of his campaign financed by the Libyan government. We are talking about 50 million euros which arrived clandestinely in the coffers of his party. Then, suddenly, in 2020, this same Ziad Takieddine explains that Nicolas Sarkozy in fact has nothing to do with this affair.

Towards an indictment for witness tampering?

The judges were taken aback, investigated and realized that eight people close to Nicolas Sarkozy went to see Ziad Takieddine, suggested to hime money, according to the investigation, in exchange for his silence. It is on this matter that Nicolas Sarkozy is being heard. From the beginning, he ensures, as those close to him, have nothing to do with this affair.
