The coroner’s office will investigate three murders in Montreal and Laval and the death of the suspect

The Chief Coroner orders a public inquiry into the deaths of André Lemieux, Mohamed Belhaj and Alex Levis-Crevier, as well as the death of suspect Abdulla Shaikh, all of which occurred between August 2 and 4 in the Montreal area.

Coroner Géhane Kamel was appointed by Pascale Descary to preside over this investigation.

Police killed the 26-year-old suspect last Thursday after he allegedly shot all three victims in the middle of the street in a period of around 24 hours.
