The Colosseum must be demolished!

This sports building has experienced years of glory and obvious disappointments. Memories from the Coliseum fill the memories of many athletes.

However, it must be understood that this building is no longer level. It would cost a tidy fortune to get it operational and up to date. The City refuses, with good reason, to proceed in this direction.

In my opinion, it must be demolished to make way for housing and green space for young families. This immense space would finally be useful to the population. Let’s not forget that the Colisée currently serves as a warehouse for the Quebec Summer Festival.

If Montreal demolished the Forum, which represented years of hockey glory and shows – the Beatles even played there -, and New York did the same regarding the old Yankee Stadium and its many stars (Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle , Roger Maris, Lou Gehrig, Yogi Berra, Joe DiMaggio among others), let’s admit that our Coliseum is very far behind these old sports venues in terms of prestige.

People’s memories will not disappear and will remain in their memory forever, even if the Colosseum is demolished. No need to see it physically to remember memories, think of your dear deceased ones that you cherish! Let’s prepare the well-being of citizens before sports memories, which are just wind, and let’s build the heritage of tomorrow.
