Waldemar Kita, the president of FC Nantes, was indicted for tax fraud, franceinfo learned this Thursday from a judicial source, confirming information from Actu Nantes. His wife too. These indictments took place as part of the judicial investigation opened in 2021 by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF).
The president of the Nantes football club and his wife “were respectively indicted on July 7 and 8, 2022 on charges of tax fraud, aggravated tax fraud, aggravated money laundering of tax fraud and aggravated money laundering of aggravated tax fraud”specifies this same source to franceinfo.
The PNF opened a preliminary investigation several months after the publication in 2017 of a newspaper article The world citing the name of Waldemar Kita in the Panama Papers affair as a shareholder of offshore companies.
