The first day of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season will be played on the weekend of August 12 and 13.

Already a taste of the new season. The LFP (Professional Football League) unveiled the calendar for the next Ligue 1 season on Thursday, June 29. With the increase to 18 clubs, there are now only 34 days left in the elite, which will run from August 12 to May 18. The two Classics between Paris and Marseille are scheduled for Sunday September 24, for the 6th day, at the Parc des Princes, and on Sunday March 31, for the 27th day, at the Vélodrome. The first big poster of the season will oppose OL and the Parisians, in Lyon, on Sunday September 3 (4th day).

Le Havre and Metz, the two promoted, will evolve outside to mark their return to the top flight, respectively in Montpellier and Rennes. As for the Parisian defending champion, he will start his campaign with the reception of Lorient, during the first day.

In addition to the match against Les Merlus, Paris Saint-Germain will have to manage a strong start to the season, with the reception of Lens (J3), the trip to Parc OL (J4) and the Classic (J6). Just like the Northerners, who will make two trips to Paris (J3) and Monaco (J4), before hosting Losc for the derby on the 8th day.

Note that RC Lens, runner-up to PSG this season, will be featured twice in the ten best matches selected and broadcast by Prime Video. The prize goes to the capital club, which will be in the spotlight seven times, ahead of the two Olympics (5 for Marseille, 4 for Lyon).
