Museum of Fine Arts
offers a permanent collection FREEyou will discover many artists and painters including those from the time of Louis XIV, or even the tombs of certain dukes.
Cultural visit
You can visit two churches including the Saint-Bénigne Cathedral, it has a crypt discovered (from 1843 to 1846) in its basement which will soon be open to the public. Just a few minutes’ walk away, you can explore the unique Burgundian Gothic architecture of Notre-Dame of Dijon.
You will find numerous signs on the ground to guide you to the carved owl outside the Notre-Dame church which is said to bring good luck. Tourists come from all over the world to touch it (with their left hand!), while making a wish.

Did you know ? It is not known why an owl was carved there. A little further to the left, there is a small sculpted salamander, can you see it?
Nature side
A stroll in the magnificent Arquebuse Garden, inside there is a planetarium, a museum and a botanical garden with no less than 3,500 species of botanical plants from Burgundy spread over 5 hectares. THE Colombière Park is a French garden which is labeled Ecogarden and very appreciated by the people of Dijon.

There international and gastronomic fair of Dijon is to be found every year, from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 12th November you can discover the typical dishes and drinks of the city including beef bourguignon or the famous red wine of Burgundy. This will be the opportunity to taste the famous crème de cassis, the black cassis from Burgundy is very famous.
The city will soon host many world events! Among them, the world wine congress which took place last year in Mexico! For pétanque lovers, the world petanque congress will be in Dijon from December 5 to 8, 2024, enough time to book your stay by then!
