Toulouse, which is twinned with the city of kyiv, continues with the Metropolis its action in support of Ukraine. In this context, a new place for collecting donations in kind will open in Toulouse this Friday, March 18. It is located in the Hall 9 of the Exhibition Center (on the Ile du Ramier, accessible by the Stadium bridge). It will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This new center will be managed (reception, management and distribution of donations) by two associations. On the one hand the association Emmaus will take care of donations to Ukrainians displaced in Toulouse. The association Free Ukraine Toulouse will handle donations to Ukraine, with the assistance of community agents.
The town hall with the associations also established a complete list of the most requested products including:
- Haemorrhage kit Emergency-attack (IFAK kit)
- Emergency haemostatic pressure dressings
- Compression cushions
- Tourniquets / tourniquets
- bandages
- Physiological serums
- Survival kits
- Medical gloves
- Everything for the treatment of wounds (disinfectants, antiseptics)
- Stretchers, collars and splints
- Syringes
- External batteries
- Batteries of all types
- Torches/headlamps
An emergency reception point has been set up in Toulouse for arrivals of Ukrainian nationals before theorientation towards identified places of accommodation, made available to the State by the Collectivity. The private and public parks have identified the availabilities in addition to the accommodation proposals for individuals.
A communication campaign has also been launched in the city via totems, flyers and light panels to guide Toulouse residents who want to help Ukrainians. Finally a deliberation will be put to the vote at the next Toulouse Métropole Council in support of the Ukrainian people, via the humanitarian associations which provide them with assistance as close as possible to their needs and the local associations which contribute to the reception of Ukrainians in Toulouse.
