the footballer Benjamin Mendy is being prosecuted in the UK for eight rapes, one attempted rape and a sexual assault. A first testimony took place on Wednesday August 17.
The jury of the court in Chester (United Kingdom) heard a first complainant on Wednesday August 17. A woman who accuses Benjamin Mendy of attempted rape. She claims that she met the footballer in 2017, when he was in Barcelona (Spain) with a friend, then she was invited a year later to his home. It was there, while she was taking a shower, that Benjamin Mendy allegedly attacked her. She assures: “He held his private parts, he insisted on looking at me naked and taking off my towel”.
A little earlier, during a drunken evening, he would have said to her: “I’m going to kidnap you”. With a look of predator, concludes the young woman. This term of predator had already been used by the prosecutor of the court of Chester, during the presentation of the charges. Benjamin Mendy faces life imprisonment. He explains for the moment that all the relations were consented.
