Behind her sublime smile hides a difficult past. Indeed, it is rare to see Lio looking bad or not showing his teeth. The artist, always the first to laugh, nevertheless hides complicated years as well as a trauma suffered in her childhood. On the occasion of the broadcast of the series She saved medevoted to domestic violence, by M6, the interpreter of banana split agreed to answer questions from our colleagues from Tele-Leisure.
The opportunity for Lio to talk about the elements that bind her to this series, given that she herself was the victim of violence from her ex-companion. “I fell in love with a man who hit me and something deeply unfair happened that I hadn’t yet named”she confided at first before adding: “But I always coped. I don’t think I realized how much I was in danger when I experienced my domestic violence, which was very far away. I arrived in the emergency room”.
This horrible moment that she had a hard time evoking
In the rest of her interview, the singer delivered another secret that she has always avoided mentioning. A rape she suffered when she was only 10 years old. “I was raped by a relative when I was 10 in the back of my parents’ car. Digitally”she reveals…
Lio continued his chilling tale with horrifying details of the moment: “Quietly, while my parents were driving, next to my little sister (Helene Noguerra, editor’s note) who was 3 years old. No one ever called it rape and I realized two years ago that I I was raped. I put that word on it. And since then nothing has gone right. We manage because we are not recognized, not welcomed”. “We are mistreated even when we come to file a complaint and nothing moves”she concluded.
