Placement in receivership East applicable to a business that is in a state of cessation of payments. “It must allow the continuation of the company’s activity, the maintenance of employment and the clearance of liabilities”, as the Service-public site explains. The safeguard procedure is aimed at companies which are encountering financial difficulties but which are not in cessation of payments. “The safeguard facilitates the reorganization of the company to allow the pursuit of economic activity, the maintenance of employment and the settlement of debts”writes Service-public.
