The children of the Stade Poitevin rugby school adapt to the drought on the pitch

Even if the lawns are roasted and it will take several weeks to find some green grass, the training sessions for young people have resumed at the Stade Poitevin Rugby. On the Sablons site, near the campus, the supervisors are vigilant. “For the moment, the little ones are not flattening themselves and do not pass too much on the ground. But for the teenagers, there is already a little breakage.”

It’s always a problematic period, with organizations that are in a recovery phase” concedes Vincent Lematte, sports coordinator of the club. Good news despite everything: “The rains of the last few days have softened the ground a little. The ground was much harder three weeks ago. We are less worried now“.
