The Château launches a holiday collection

(Toronto) Canadian retailer Le Château is making a comeback from bankruptcy with the online launch on Tuesday of a collection of evening wear in time for the holidays.

The “Holiday Glamor Collection” gives shoppers a glimpse of what the brand’s relaunch, slated for this spring, under new owner Suzy’s Inc., the company behind Suzy Shier, could look like.

Franco Rocchi, senior marketing director of Suzy / Le Château, said the limited-edition collection focuses on high-fashion second-hand clothing.

He said the full collection slated for 2022 will include men’s footwear, accessories and clothing, with women’s clothing available at select Suzy Shier stores across the country.

Le Château, a brand formerly present in several shopping centers across the country, filed for creditor protection in October 2020 after the pandemic caused stores to be closed and events such as proms and weddings canceled. , galas and parties – the main drivers of clothing sales for the retailer.

In June, Suzy’s agreed to purchase the intellectual property of the Le Château brand, retaining much of the clothing design team and maintaining operations in Montreal.
