The CH facing the team of the hour

The Montreal Canadiens will look to extend their winning streak to four when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night at the PNC Arena.

The task will not be easy since the Hurricanes are the formation of the hour in the National Hockey League, with eight wins in their last 10 games. They approach quietly the Boston Bruins, who prance for moons at the top of the general classification of the Bettman circuit. The “Canes” are seven points behind, in second place.

The CH is still in last place in the Atlantic section standings, with 50 points. However, Martin St-Louis’ men recently defeated the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks.

Quebecer Jonathan Drouin is in particularly good shape these days, with five points in his last three games since returning from injury. He also has 12 points in his last 12 games, but has yet to score this season.

In Raleigh, the Habs begin a four-game road trip.
