Be careful if you take the Carnon bridge (Hérault), on foot, by bike, by car or by public transport. From Monday January 10, 2022, and for three months, it is closed. The Voies Navigables de France (VNF) teams are carrying out work. The goal is to raise the bridge by 90 centimeters so that freight boats, which circulate on the Rhône canal in Sète, can pass through here.
River shuttles and diversion
For cyclists and pedestrians, VNF sets up Free river shuttles, which operate every day between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., and which can carry up to 50 people. For road users, a detour is in place. It will take you through the center of Carnon.
This work, financed by VNF and the Occitanie Region, will cost 2.3 million euros.
