Divine Kinkela, a caregiver victim of racism in Montargis, in Loiret, filed two complaints against her neighbors, franceinfo and France Bleu Orléans learned from her lawyer Frank Berton, confirming information from Le Parisien. We see this couple uttering racist insults during a report broadcast by “Envoyé Spécial” on June 20.
The first complaint was filed in Montargis, for public incitement to discrimination, aggravated violence and moral harassment. The second was addressed to the dean of investigating judges in Montargis, it targets public insults of a racial nature.
The day after the broadcast, the Montargis court took up the comments made in the program, but had to relinquish the investigation in favor of the Orléans public prosecutor’s office, since one of the people filmed uttering insults belongs at the Montargis court.
This civil servant from the Montargis court who made racist remarks has been suspended, franceinfo learned from the Chancellery, confirming information from BFMTV. The decision is motivated by the criminal investigation targeting the civil servant and “the damage to the image of the Ministry of Justice, characterized by the seriousness of the remarks made”.
The suspension order was requested by the Minister of Justice, Eric Dupond-Moretti, on Monday June 24, on the basis of the report of the heads of the Orleans Court of Appeal, concerning “remarks with racist connotations” Who “had caused a stir on June 20, 2024, following the broadcast of a television report”writes the Chancellery.
The decision is motivated by “the criminal investigation opened against her on charges of public and non-public insults of a racial nature, public provocation to discrimination and violence without incapacity of a racial nature” And “by the damage to the image of the Ministry of Justice, characterized by the seriousness of the remarks made”.
