MONTREAL – The CAQ wants to bet on new private medical centers, halfway between a GMF and a hospital to relieve congestion and revolutionize the health network in Quebec.

Passing through the riding of Anjou – represented for 20 years by the Liberal Lise Thériault, who is retiring from political life – CAQ leader François Legault presented a new concept of private medical clinics, whose services could be reimbursed by the public scheme.
Two of these centers will be built by 2025 in Quebec: one in the East of Montreal and another in Quebec, promises the CAQ.
These clinics will include a GMF open 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., an emergency room open 24 hours a day to treat minor cases, day surgery rooms, a pharmacy and a sampling and radiology center.
