This did not prevent the goalkeeper from signing a third victory in as many starts since CH acquired him a few weeks ago. Under the circumstances, the team recalled Cayden Primeau from the Laval Rocket in the American League. He will join the Habs in Edmonton in time for Saturday’s game against the Oilers.

The Rocket, however, are down a goalie, having traded Michael McNiven earlier this week. All that remains is Kevin Poulin to have a contract with the CH school club.

Since being traded to the Rocket in mid-February, Primeau has won three of his six starts. In the NHL, he had previously experienced very difficult times. This is evidenced by his 1-7-1 record, 4.88 goals-against average and .866 save percentage.
