The Canadian | Armia left out, Savard back

(Nashville) Having still not scored after 26 games this season, Joel Armia will watch the Canadiens’ next game from the stands.

Head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed that the Finn would skip a round, in favor of Anthony Richard, integrated into the formation.

Bothered by two injuries since the start of the calendar, Armia has never found a rhythm offensively. He has so far been limited to three assists, despite chances to assert himself on offensive lines and even on the power play.

On defense, David Savard will return to action on Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators, after recovering from an upper body injury that cost him 13 games. Johnathan Kovacevic will give way to him. The combinations of CH have not been confirmed yet, but Savard was skating to the right of Jordan Harris in training the day before.
