The Brenne hike is renewed

A hundred kilometers on foot or on horseback, and for cyclists, nearly 200 km in three days. It is the promise of 35th edition of the Brenne Hike. The weekend of August 5 to 7, 2022close to 500 people will be able to discover the landscapes of this Natural Park. In addition to the great classics, the routes have been slightly modified, in particular to get closer to the edge of the Bellebouche pond, in Mézières-en-Brenne. On Sunday evening, a “showcase of local producers“should highlight regional products, explains Jean-Louis Camus, the mayor of the town who wants to keep the mystery.

In addition to the planned itinerary, explanations of the fauna and flora of this natural park and even animations will punctuate the route. After two years of the pandemic and a smooth recovery, organizers are already seeing 2023 as the year of changes. “One of the routes will pass by the edge of the Lake Cherine. We are also planning a bicycle-pedestrian-horse-riding link between Saint-Michel-en-Brenne, Mézières and the Chérine Reserve. It will be inaugurated in the fall“, specifies the chosen one. Next year, bicycles, e-bikes and mountain bikes should also have new route variants.
