The Sûreté du Québec confirms having found the bodies of three missing persons on Monday, five days after the explosion and the fire which ravaged the Propane Lafortune distributor in Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan, in Lanaudière.
Fire scene technicians and investigators are still continuing to analyze the scene located in an agricultural sector, on the outskirts of the small municipality. A partnership has also been established with experts from the forensic science and forensic medicine laboratory and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, says Hélène St-Pierre, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

According to our information, the first two victims were Céline Pilon and France Desrosiers, who both worked as secretaries. The third, a man, was doing work for the company.
The victims will be transported to the laboratory of forensic sciences and forensic medicine, in order to identify them, according to the request of the coroner’s office, adds Ms.me St Pierre.
Legal steps are also taken by the authorities to allow the continuation of the investigation, specifies the spokesperson.
