As a Russian oil depot was set on fire, tension escalated between Russia and Ukraine. The latter seems determined to counter-attack for good, thanks in particular to the material support of NATO countries.
The Sevastopol oil depot, in flames, is the main fuel stock of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea. According to the governor of the city, the attack was piloted by Ukraine. No injuries but lots of damage. This attack comes while both enemies are playing escalation. At least 26 dead were recorded on Friday April 28 in Ukraine. Moscow, for its part, denounced the attack on five Russian villages, since deprived of electricity, in the Belgorod region.
A new phase of the war?
In this context, kyiv says it is ready to launch a decisive assault to liberate nearly 20% of its occupied territory, in the east and south, such as Zaporijia or Kherson. To come to its aid, NATO member countries and their partners have provided hundreds of battle tanks, thousands of armored vehicles and weapons. Russia, for its part, has mobilized hundreds of thousands of reservists. Sounds of boots that could tip this war started in February 2022, into a new phase.
