After a short break, Les Ogres de Barback are back on the road with Pitt Osha. The new season of this musical journey began in Fontaine-La-Guyon in Eure-et-Loir.

Under the large marquee placed in the meadow, the sounds and noises respond as if by magic. A festive and magical atmosphere, dozens of musical instruments and stories at your fingertips from a very young age. “We walk on this round stage with the children right in front of us on the passageway that we have specially installed for toddlers, we have a lot of interactions and this whole first row with the children’s large marbles looking at us with lots of curiosity, it’s very cool”, rejoices musician Mathilde Burguière.

During an hour and forty hours, the musical journey of Pitt Ocha makes strings, brass and drums resonate in a joyful bazaar where all the instruments lead the dance. A lovely magic potion with circus, a bit of cabaret and a lot of good humor which offers the public a real sound and visual spectacle. “It’s suitable for adults as well as children and it’s really very nice,” says a mother.

It’s been twenty years since Pitt Ocha was born between the nimble fingers of the Ogres of Barback. Perched on his bike, the little man with the yellow head questions the world, advocating the values of difference and tolerance.

A family story

In two decades, this musical show for young audiences has produced four albums. The latest, released in 2022, tells the stories of Pitt Ocha and the sound-powered bicycle. A dive into the world of childhood with texts always centered on humans.

The Ogres of Barback is first and foremost a family story. Sam, Fred, Alice and Mathilde Burguière, qfour siblings brilliant and inventive people from Ardèche, are passionate about music from here and elsewhere. Their repertoire, largely imbued with cosmopolitan influences, makes melodies and stories swirl. And since the essential value of siblings is sharing, these sound artisans carry their traveling show to meet spectators, young and old.

The big top of the Ogres de Barback continues its tour with “Pitt Ocha” until the end of September throughout France.
