(L’Assomption) A three-year-old child was found lifeless in a home daycare in L’Assomption, in Lanaudière. The crimes against the person section of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) has opened an investigation.
The SQ was notified mid-morning Tuesday of the death of the toddler, who had “significant and obvious” injuries, according to public relations agent Audrey-Anne Bilodeau.
Police were called to a home daycare in a residential area of L’Assomption.
The authorities are still awaiting the results of the autopsy to decide on the causes of death, noted at the hospital.
The SQ’s crimes against person section is investigating. Several witnesses have already been met.
