The animator Guillaume Durand is loose on the antivax to whom he wants to “throw his shoes in the face”!

In May 2021, journalist Guillaume Durand posted a disturbing message through his Twitter account. The one who animates the mornings of Classic Radio every day, from 8.15 a.m. to 9 a.m., announced that he was going to have to be absent for a while because “life sometimes reserves, in the field of health, stray bullets from which we recover with rest. No drama. I’ll be back quickly. I miss the team, the listeners of course!”.

A month later, he underwent an operation that lasted almost ten hours following his jaw cancer. A cancer that he mentioned in particular in the columns of the Parisian. “My main doctor tells me that I have a cancerous tumor.”he explained before indicating that the doctor in question told him that he was ready for a “commando mission, à la Rambo”. “It’s very animal like feeling, whereas I can be afraid of a mouse in normal times.”

“They refused a simple injection”

Fortunately, he falls on a surgeon “genius” who presents to him in detail what he was going to undergo: “My jaw was going to be replaced by a piece of fibula. And I will have a tracheotomy in case of edema. humanity. It was the turning point of my life”. Invited this Wednesday, September 21 on the set of Figaro Buzz TVGuillaume Durand returned to this intervention and in particular his stay in the hospital.

A stay during which he was chomping at the bit and sometimes wanted to go through the television when he discovered the discourse of antivax which was totally grotesque for him. “The professor of medicine who operated on me is a real genius. When I watched on television in my room the antivax that were parading, I wanted to throw my shoes in their face”he said before justifying his remarks: “Science was protecting me when they refused a simple injection”.
