The Alpe d’Huez festival rewards the comedies “Nous, les Leroy” and “Et plus si affinities”

The international comedy film festival unveiled its prize list on Saturday evening. If the film “Nous, les Leroy” won the Grand Prix of the 2024 Festival, the second, “And more if affinities”, walked away with four awards.

We, the Leroys, Florent Bernard’s first feature film, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and José Garcia, won the Grand Prize on Saturday at the 27th Alpe d’Huez International Comedy Film Festival. This comedy, expected in theaters on April 10, tells the story of the last-chance operation to put the pieces back together that a couple at the end of their tether attempts during a weekend full of twists and turns.

The film, in competition with nine other feature films during this festival which ends this Sunday January 21 in the Isère resort, won the favor of the jury chaired by actress Valérie Bonneton. He succeeds on the list of 38°5 quai des orfèvresby Benjamin Lehrer, awarded in 2023.

Big success also for And maybe more who leaves crowned with four awards: audience prize, special jury prize but also the female and male performance prizes, respectively awarded to Isabelle Carré and Bernard Campan. The film, directed by Olivier Ducray and Wilfried Meance, also tells the story of a worn-out couple, whom very infatuated neighbors come to wake up with a somewhat indecent proposal. The film is expected in theaters on April 3.

Other prizes awarded

The jury’s favorite prize goes to Repeat, by Emilie Noblet. Award presented for the first time this year, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region prize won Happy winners, directed by Maxime Govare and Romain Choay. Finally, the short film prize was awarded ex-aequo to Come on girl by Chloé Jouannet and The cops and the thieves by Adrien Guedra-Degeorges and Maxime Azzopardi.

Lasting five days and completely free for the public, this year the event welcomed nearly 25,000 spectators.
