The Alouettes | New contracts for Vernon Adams Jr. and Eugene Lewis

Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. signed a two-year contract extension with the Alouettes on Thursday, while wide receiver Eugene Lewis will be back with the team next season.

Adams Jr. played eight games in 2021, before seeing his season end on October 11 with a shoulder injury. Lewis will be in his fifth season in Montreal.

“It’s a great day for the Alouettes family,” said Alouettes general manager Danny Maciocia. These two players have the team’s success at heart and are true leaders in our locker room. Even when he was on the sidelines, Vernon was keen to stay close to his teammates to be involved. Eugene continues to be a prime target for the Alouettes and he does everything to help his team win. “
