Indicted for murder and rape, Thursday, October 27, the 21-year-old farm worker admitted in police custody to having killed and buried Justice Veyrac in a wood. We join in Beynat, in Corrèze, Thibault Petit and David Breysse, Friday morning.
“It’s a village that feels like waking up from a bad dream, after the confessions of Lucas L., accused of the murder and rape of Justine Veyrac. A village still in shock this morning”, reports Thibault Petit, live from Beynat (Corrèze). A psychological unit has been set up to support the inhabitants. But she won’t be able to answer all the questions, “with perhaps the most important: why come to such violence?” asks the journalist.
“Lucas L. speaks of a single blow after consensual sexual intercourse. The prosecutor speaks of a plurality of blows, with at least one carried with a contending weapon, before taking the body into the forest”, relates Thibault Petit. The investigators will try to find out, in the coming hours and days, what really happened that evening.
