the Abracadachian salon sees double

If you are told: “mower”, “scissors”, “cuts” … The first image that comes to your mind is perhaps that of a hairdresser? Well if that’s the case you’ll be wrong. Because in the News Eco of this Monday we tell you about a groomer, Jeannette Thibaudet, patron of the Abracadachien salon in Fontaine-lès-Dijon.

She, who took over this business in 2018 after a professional retraining – she was a waitress for 20 years – has just broken the piggy bank to carry out several thousand euros of work and create a second workspace which allowed her to recruit a second groomer last summer.

Soledad Grisard hired last summer and Jeannette Thibaudet the patron of the Abracadachien salon in Fontaine-lès-Dijon

“For the comfort of animals”

Jeannette Thibaudet explains: “This summer I was able to hire someone, I did some work so that we are not on top of each other and especially for the comfort of the animals. Our two spaces are separated by a door. Now c ‘is super pretty. “

The patron of the salon had to resort to a bank. “I made a loan of 15,000 euros to ensure the work and buy equipment because tables and mowers are relatively expensive. For a mower, for example, it takes 300 to 350 euros excluding taxes”. On average, the two professionals manage to take care of eight dogs per day. It takes between 50 and 70 euros for a complete care of the animal.

About fifteen lounges in the agglomeration

There are about fifteen grooming salons in the Dijon metropolitan area, not to mention traveling salons in trucks or vans. Groomers like Jeannette Thibaudet and her colleague have a little “felt the pass” of the Covid-19 even if they were able to remain open during the last two confinements.
