You cannot stay in Florida without stopping off at South Beach, this vibrant place where great tolerance reigns. With its original and colorful lifeguard towers, it is one of the most insta-grammables from all over Florida. Its eclectic fauna, between its hyper muscular sportsmen and its sirens in bikinis, constitutes a real spectacle in itself. After a day at the beach, it’s time to admire the Art Deco style buildings of Collins Avenue, or to shop on Lincoln Avenue. It is also here that the most beautiful hotels in Miami are located. Why not take the opportunity to have a drink in one of their bars and admire their impressive lobby or their tropical gardens? And then, to explore the surroundings, a short ride on a City Bike, a bit like the Bixi, will allow you to make some great discoveries.

North Miami Beach

North Miami Beach is much quieter than neighboring South Beach. Here, families like to get together to build sand castles and practice water sports. On site, take the perfectly laid out bike path that will take you to the southernmost tip of Miami Beach, South Point Park, where you can see impressive cruise ships and breathtaking sunsets . This bike ride of about 14 km is a real pleasure for the eyes.

Lake Worth Beach

Lake Worth Beach is known for the brilliance of its azure blue sea. It attracts surfers, but also fishermen because of its long quay. Moreover, on this one stands the famous Benny’s on the Beach, an ideal place to sip a good tropical cocktail or taste a succulent lobster roll. Lantana beach, a few minutes away, is also worth a visit, and its restaurant, the Duck Deck Cafe, run by Quebecers of Greek origin, offers good dishes at very reasonable prices.

Jupiter Beach

About 30 minutes from West Palm Beach is the 4 km long Jupiter Beach. Here, everything is wilder, there are no high buildings or souvenir shops. In good winds, the beach attracts kiteboarding-surfers, and you can also come with your dog (entries 26 to 57). If you’re in the area, take the opportunity to visit The Loggerhead Marine Center at Juno Beach, a turtle rehabilitation center, and climb the Jupiter Lighthouse, the view is breathtaking.

Haulover Beach

Haulover Beach is renowned for the quality of its translucent water, perfect for swimming. The beach attracts families with its many BBQ facilities and picnic tables. It is also popular with nudists since a small part is reserved for them. To see more impressive yachts, head to the north end at Haulover Inlet and Beach Park, where there is a boat passage.

Across the street is a marina where many boats depart for deep-sea fishing trips. Another great perk is parking for $5 a day on weekdays and $7 on weekends! A real bargain in Florida!

Delray Beach

Delray Beach is tasteful with its ubiquitous vegetation. It has nothing to do with a typical American-style commercial beach. It is the ideal place to relax with your feet in the sand, practice body surfing Or play volleyball.

Not far away is the vibrant little downtown Delray Beach, which is pleasant to explore on foot. Its main street, Atlantic Avenue, is full of beautiful shops, good restaurants, art galleries and friendly little bars.

In 2021, the Delray Market opened its doors there, there are plenty of small food counters offering a variety of cuisine ranging from Indian dishes to BBQ, through seafood, without forgetting of course, vegetarian food.

Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach, half an hour from Miami Beach, is well known to Quebecers. At one time, on Collins Avenue, many small hotels owned by Quebecers welcomed tourists. Today, they have been replaced by huge towers (some of which can reach almost 60 floors), impressive and very designer. Sunny Isles beach is especially appreciated for the color of its emerald water and its great cleanliness. The small seaside resort attracts tourists from all over the world, and several wealthy Russians have settled there.

Palm Beach

Palm Beach, a charming little town with magnificent mansions, is the favorite refuge of the rich and famous. We come here to enjoy the municipal beach, but also to shop since the famous Worth Avenue is a few steps away. Be sure to take a bike ride along the A1A to admire the opulent residences, without missing of course Mar-A-Lago, the residence of Donald Trump.
